Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell rose to fame for his role as a character on "Saturday Night Live," before appearing on such major-screen comedy films as 'Elf"Anchorman," and 'Talladega Nights.' Born in 1967 in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell began his career in comedy as an actor with the improv group from Los Angeles known as the Groundlings. He was an Saturday Night Live cast member for seven years and became a popular comedic character through off-color shows, such as Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell also co-founded the popular video streaming site Funny or Die, and experienced success as a voiceover actor through animated films such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell, born July 16, 1967 in Irvine, California. The oldest son of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission, not the class clown in his time as a student at University High School. Ferrell who was quiet and serious and reserved, decided to leave his mark in football in which he established records for the number of field goals that he made. Ferrell showed little of the outrageous, funny behavior that would define his career even at his suburban home. In an interview with Esquire the magazine, his mother stated Ferrell was "very gentle, and very calm." "You're familiar with those Matchbox automobiles?" Will be ecstatic in lining up all his Matchbox cars himself. You'd askhim "Do you want to go to Disneyland this morning?" or "You want your cars lined up?" That would be a challenging discussion for him to think about. Ferrell was not a perfectly straight man but that's not to suggest he wasn't. A glimpse of Ferrell's comic talent was shown each morning at high school when he disguised himself and announced the day's events over the PA system. Ferrell graduated in 1986 and attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. There he was part of the Delta Tau fraternity to pursue the degree of a sports reporter.
